Pre wedding shoot Bangalore — couple in mustard fields by Fotovibez

From palace gardens to lakeside golden hour, here are our favourite pre wedding shoot locations in Bangalore — with honest notes on light, permissions and the best time to go.

A pre wedding shoot is the warm-up before the big day — a chance for the two of you to get comfortable in front of the camera, and for us to learn the way you naturally move together. Bangalore is generous with locations, and over the years we have shot at almost every corner of the city. These are the ten we keep coming back to.

1. Lalbagh Botanical Garden

The glasshouse, the lotus pond, the avenue of trees — Lalbagh offers variety in a single location. Early morning light (6:30–8:00 am) is magical here, and the crowd is thin. Entry is ticketed and photography permits are straightforward.

2. Cubbon Park

Sprawling, green and full of character. The bamboo groves and the red State Central Library building make for striking backdrops. Best shot on a weekday morning to avoid the weekend runners and families.

3. Bangalore Palace grounds

Tudor-style architecture, ivy-covered walls and manicured lawns give a regal feel. Permissions are required and there is a fee, but for couples who want a palace look without leaving the city, it is hard to beat.

4. Nandi Hills

About an hour from the city, Nandi Hills is our go-to for sunrise. The mist rolling over the horizon and the first light hitting the couple is pure cinema. Leave Bangalore by 4:30 am to make it in time.

5. Lumbini Gardens & Hebbal Lake

Lakeside golden hour with the city skyline behind you. Hebbal Lake in particular has a quiet, reflective quality in the late afternoon that flatters every skin tone.

6. Nrityagram & Hesaraghatta

The dance village's earthy architecture and the open grasslands of Hesaraghatta nearby give a rustic, almost film-set feel. Great for couples who want something away from the usual garden look.

7. Wonderla & amusement-park shoots

For the playful couple — bright colours, motion and genuine laughter. These shoots are unstructured and fun, and the resulting frames feel like a day out rather than a photo session.

8. MG Road & Brigade Road heritage lanes

Café culture, colonial-era buildings and street art. Best for couples who love the city and want their pre wedding shoot to feel urban and contemporary.

9. Bannerghatta nature trails

For a wilder, greener backdrop, the trails around Bannerghatta offer dense foliage and dappled light. Plan for late afternoon and carry insect repellent.

10. A location that means something to you

Our favourite shoots are often the ones at the café where you first met, the college campus where you fell in love, or your own terrace. A meaningful location always produces more honest photographs than a famous one.
