Outfit choices can make or break a pre wedding shoot. Here is our practical guide to colours, fabrics and coordination for pre wedding shoots in and around Bangalore.
The right outfit does half the work in a pre wedding shoot. The wrong one fights the location, the light and the camera. Here is what we have learned from years of Bangalore pre wedding shoots.
Matching outfits — the same colour, head to toe — look dated in photographs. Instead, pick a shared palette: if one of you wears mustard, the other might wear ivory or deep green. The colours should converse, not echo.
A flowy lehenga looks magical against the green of Cubbon Park but gets tangled in the urban grit of MG Road. A sharp blazer and dress work in a café but look stiff in a mustard field. Let the location guide the outfit.
Fabrics that catch the wind — chiffon, georgette, linen — add motion and life to still frames. Stiff fabrics stay stiff on camera. For outdoor Bangalore shoots, especially around Nandi Hills, bring a layer; mornings are cold.
Earth tones, jewel tones and pastels flatter Indian skin tones beautifully. Avoid pure black in bright sun (it loses detail) and pure white in harsh midday light. We will always advise on the best colours for your chosen location and time.
If time and the location permit, a second outfit gives your gallery variety — usually one traditional and one casual. We plan the shoot so the outfit change happens during a natural break.
Not sure what to wear? We send every couple a styling guide before the shoot, and we are always happy to advise on the phone.
